Sweet Cecily’s Personalised Pampering

I was very tempted to have this as a Christmas gift kind of post, but it still feels a tad too early for that and let’s be honest, this is something anyone would love at any time of year! So basically, Sweet Cecily’s have come out with some brand spanking new gift sets and they are dreamy as all hell.

There are 3 new sets up for grabs – The Winter Skincare Collection, The Coffee Lovers Collection and The Essential Pampering Collection – and they pretty much cover all bases! Of course it’d be a bit much to gift me all 3 collections so I received the Essential Pampering Collection which, to be honest, is definitely the one I would’ve picked myself. Here’s a quick little bit on each set (I know you’re curious) before I get into my thoughts!

THE WINTER SKINCARE COLLECTION £35

Protect and revive hardworking skin with nourishing Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream, Red Clay Face Mask, Limited Edition Chocolate Orange Lip balm and Spiced Winter Berry Bathbomb. This set comes in a 100% cotton drawstring bag which can be personalised with a name to make it a truly thoughtful gift that anyone would be excited to receive!

THE COFFEE LOVERS COLLECTION £24.95

We all have a friend that can’t face Monday morning without a hot mug of the good stuff! Give them a helping hand with a pouch of rich, mellow coffee which can be fully personalised (to ward off potential coffee thieves!) and a hand printed porcelain mug that reads “I don’t need an inspirational quote I just need coffee” all contained in a hand printed rustic hessian sack. There is also the option of adding a scrumptious Espresso Martini Lip Balm.

THE ESSENTIAL PAMPERING COLLECTION £22.95

After a long and tiring week, all anyone wants to do is relax and unwind with your favourite TV show or a good book. Sweet Cecily’s are here to give you a helping hand with a selection of indulgent skincare treats including Rose & Ylang Ylang bath salts, Coconut Hair Mask, invigorating Citrus & Walnut Body Scrub, a little pot of body butter (choose from Coconut or fruity Fig & Olive) and a handmade natural lip balm in a flavour of your choice. These little pots of joy come in a 100% cotton drawstring bag which can be personalised with a name which makes this a great gift; although we’re sure you won’t want to part with it!

So as I said, the Essential Pampering Collection is the one I bagged (get it lol) and let’s just start off by talking about how exciting the whole personalised bag situation is… As an Imogen it’s very rare to get anything with your name on (so much so that my mum picks up literally anything that has my name on now, usually kids stuff) so I LOVE that this has my name on it – plus if you’re stuck on what to get somebody, you get a lot more credit for getting something personalised as it seems like you’ve put more effort into it!

More importantly though – the contents! It definitely came at the perfect time for me as my hair was crying out for a good hair mask to rejuvenate it a bit and the body scrub was a great excuse to apply some tan for no reason and I can guarantee that whoever receives one of these bags of goodness will take at least one thing out and say ‘oh I need this!’. As you’d guess, it’s all perfect for a pamper night so this would be the perfect gift for someone that’s always on the go, or you know, for yourself because why not! All ingredients are handmade and natural for all you fussy gals out there and the smells are divine. Sadly, the gift wrap is a little bit extra but if you are giving this as a gift then I 100% recommend it – look how pretty!

So whether you’re starting on your Christmas shopping early or you’re still trying to figure out what to buy yourself from payday then this gets a big thumbs up from me and you can find all their pretty bits and bobs here!

Morphe x KathleenLights Palette

I’m big into Youtube at the minute (watching – I’d never have the balls to record anything) and KathleenLights is one of my all time favourites. I think it was towards the end of last year now that she collaborated with Morphe but I didn’t get my palette until the restock earlier this year and my god, I’ve been in love with it ever since. It’s actually the last eye shadow palette I bought which just tells you how much I love it (you know, because I’ve had it for majority of the year now).  Continue reading “Morphe x KathleenLights Palette”

Jeffree Star Cosmetics – First Impressions

I might be a little bit obsessed with Manny MUA at the minute, so when he and Jeffree Star announced their collaboration I knew I needed something from it. The collaboration is an icy peach Skin Frost called Eclipse and two velour liquid lipsticks called I’m Shook and Daddy. You can get the whole lot in a bundle to save some money or buy each separately, so there was a lot of deciding to do! Continue reading “Jeffree Star Cosmetics – First Impressions”

ABH x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit

It’s been a while since I last wrote a beauty post but when I decided I wanted to write one it didn’t really take much time to decide on what I wanted to write about! About a month ago now I finally got my hand on the ABH x Nicole Guerriero glow kit and I hadn’t been this excited since I got my first Kylie Lip Kit! A Trip to TK Maxx

There’s a pretty big perk to where I work and that’s how close I am to everything! Lunch breaks are the perfect time to sneak in a cheeky little shopping trip and last week I went a little bit further afield over to TK Maxx!It was only a quick trip (obviously) so I avoided the clothes like the plague and stuck to the beauty and homeware instead. I only really came out with 3 things in the end, but at least I didn’t spend half as much as I would have in a proper trip! Continue reading “A Trip to TK Maxx”

Home Spa Necessities

If you’re anything like me – a bit poor and very tight with the money you do have – then spa days are reserved for special occasions and gifts. But, everyone loves a good pamper and it’s easy enough to recreate at home with a few bits you have lying around or things that can be found pretty easily in any shopping centre! I always have pamper supplies lying around, ready and waiting for my next opportunity to chill – and I’d definitely recommend building up a stash yourself! Continue reading “Home Spa Necessities”

My Kylie Lip Kit Collection

As you may have guessed from previous posts and my updates on Twitter, I’m a big fan of the Kylie Lip Kits. I didn’t go for it straight away but my collection has slowly grown month by month since  so I thought it’s about time I showed you guys the lot so far! Continue reading “My Kylie Lip Kit Collection”

REN

I’m all about budget beauty as you probably already guessed but when it comes to skincare I’m more likely to loosen the purse strings and splash out a little bit more. Now I’m not talking hundreds of pounds, I don’t have that, but I’m willing to spend up to around £40 given that the product is actually worth the price! A lot of the time I’ve found that some of the more pricey products aren’t really worth it – especially ones for ‘all skin types’ – I don’t trust that – so when REN offered to send me their new Flash Hydro-Boost I was a little dubious as to whether it’d actually do much. But, I’ve given it a few weeks (as I do with every skincare product) and I’m pleasantly surprised! Where to Highlight and What to Use

Highlighter has quickly become my favorite part of my makeup routine because there’s no better feeling that when you know you’re literally glowing. See I don’t have the biggest collection, but I have a few different kinds of highlighters in different shades and I use them to draw attention to different areas!
